Five Device Families for a Broad Range of Design Needs - Atmel SAM D

 

The Atmel® ǀ SMART SAM D family is designed for easy migration within the Atmel MCU portfolio. The Atmel SAM D family consists of four pin- and code-compatible product series and a total of 35 different microcontrollers. They all use the same processor, bus matrix, interrupt system, and other core features. They are differentiated in regards to pin counts, memories, and of peripheral mix. Devices are compatible across pinouts for drop-in replacement and are code-compatible. If you need more performance or larger Flash memory, the Atmel SAM4L based on the ARM® Cortex®-M4 core is upwards-compatible with the Atmel SAM D10, SAM D11, SAM D20, and SAM D21.

The Atmel ǀ SMART SAM DA1 is the first automotive-qualified product series based on the ARM® Cortex®-M0+ architecture operating at 48MHz. Ideal for capacitive touch button, slider, wheel or proximity sensing in automotive human machine interface applications, the SAM DA1 series delivers high-analog performance for greater front-end flexibility in a 3V environment. These features make the SAM DA1 series excellent for real-time behavior to minimize the current consumption.
