Atmel's Trusted Platform Module Development Kit for Securing Non-PC Embedded Applications Receives eg3 Readers Tech Choice Award
San Jose, CA, October 6, 2008 - Atmel® Corporation (Nasdaq: ATML),has received a Readers Tech Choice award from eg3 for its embedded development kit for CryptoController™, Atmel's Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for non-PC, embedded applications. This kit also earned eg3's Editors Tech Choice Award. eg3.com is the leading non-biased news source for embedded systems, dsp, real-time/rtos, chip design, FPGA, and boards on the internet.

The CryptoController development kit provides easy-to-use examples of how to configure and utilize the TPM in the developer's own application. TPM functionality is demonstrated, and source code is provided to enable developers to quickly implement their own security applications, utilizing the higher level of security provided by Atmel's CryptoController device.
The kit includes a small board that has a CryptoController chip connected to an AVR® microprocessor, a 9-volt battery alternate supply cable, all the necessary USB cables, and USB flash drive containing documentation and demonstration software.
