FAQs

Q: How do I convince my boss that I should attend?
A: Everyone who attends Atmel Technology Live (ATL) will learn skills for working more productively, and discover new skills for creating innovative designs. They will get sneak peeks of product roadmaps and network with their peers - learning, teaching, sharing and making themselves more valuable to employers and clients. At the end of the three-day conference, they're inspired to create next-generation designs, with the know-how to make it happen – now!

We expect ATL to be the place to send employees when an organization needs to become more competitive in a world of constantly changing and evolving technology.

If you need a little help making the case to your boss, here it is. We've supplied all of the reasons why your attendance at ATL is a worthwhile investment for your organization, in a language your boss will understand.

Dear (insert boss's name),

From September 11-13, 2012, more than 500 designers, developers, and business leaders will gather in San Jose to learn new skills, discover emerging technologies, and connect with each other. I know that I'll come home with skills that will help me make (insert your organization's name) more competitive. Here are a few of the ways that (insert your organization's name) will benefit from my attendance at ATL:

Break new ground — There's no doubt that our organization's future success and profitability will depend on its ability to create compelling, innovative designs. This is where I'll see how it's already being done, and where I'll figure out how to adapt our own organization's approach to customer and market demands.

Become more productive — ATL will help me work smarter and faster, starting the very next day. I'll learn how to take ideas to market faster. I'll attend hands-on training sessions and learn directly from the Atmel Technology Experts who develop the technology I use.

Learn from the experts — All ATL sessions are taught by Atmel Technology Experts – the people who develop the products and solutions we use today.

Bring home best practices — ATL attendees will include high-end design engineers, engineering managers and executives from the largest worldwide Atmel accounts. That means I'll be able to exchange ideas and build one-on-one relationships with people who have dealt with the same challenges our organization is facing and learn how they tackled those challenges. And when I leave, they'll be a part of our organization's extended network.

Bring new visionary energy to our work — I'll be exposed to new ways of thinking about our projects and some of the coolest, boundary-pushing, experimental work out there. I'll go home ready to push our own organization's boundaries.
